With John's passing away March 18th of 2004, I will be limiting Terra Neva Dogs participation in the Show ring for awhile. The Dog's will be out occasionally, but, not as we have been in the past.
I wish to thank everyone for your help in this trying times and for you condolences. You have no Idea how much you all mean to me.
It was a great honor for me to judge the 2005 National Specialty Veteran Sweepstakes in Topeka Kansas. After all my tears dripping on the coats of the dogs (they all seemed to remind me of one of my old guys passed- or maybe even a couple of them still with me)I am not quite sure what a spectacle I might have made of myself. Besides that fact, I had a wonderful time and a wonderful selection of dogs to award. When it came down to the final dogs left in the ring, as I said, then...I could have pointed to any one of them and not have gone wrong.
My ring steward, who is a Golden Breeder commented to me about "the depth of quality of the veterans" I couldn't agree with her more.
Thank you all who gave me such a nice entry. I can only hope that the quality of dogs I get once I have been approved for my judges license is as good...Then I will be the happiest person on this earth.
As of Dec. 1, 2005 I am now a provisional judge for Siberians Huskies! It is amazing to me, that people contacted me before I was able to official accept any assignments. Now, that I am able to give a positive response- I am so looking forward to doing my first Judging duty in 2006.
